An inside look from our current interns at what it’s like to be a paid intern through the Digital Summer Clinic!
“I love my company and I love being in this internship because I really feel apart of the company and that we are actually making a difference. I’ve had an amazing experience with this company and my internship and I have definitely changed my career options. What’s really cool is that we’re having a graduation and all of our team will be there!”
“Throughout the summer I will be working with the EMU Center for Digital Engagement and Ann Arbor SPARK to complete a digital marketing clinic program. This program offers exciting opportunities, several certifications and real-world experience gained through working with clients outside of a classroom.” -Brandon
“Every week, we attend an all-clinic meeting to report our weekly progress, cheer each other on, share our endeavors to reach success in our companies, and get valuable advice and insight from guest speakers and panels of professionals in our field of work. I am excited by, and look most forward to, the speaker portion of the evening.”
“If I could only use one word to describe what working in a tech start-up is like it would certainly be: free-flowing. It’s cool that I get to participate in so many different parts of the company. Heading into my position as an intern at ContentOro I didn’t have much interest in marketing. Now that I am working with such skilled marketers it has really grown on me. I love knowing I will learn something new and useful every single day on the job. Overall, my first impressions of what it is like working in a start-up are great! Maybe I’ll even have my own start-up someday.”
“This internship has given me the confidence, extra skills, and experience that I needed to be comfortable in a digital marketing, event planning or public relations job. The unique landscape of start-up organizations is something I think everyone should experience because it is such a different environment. I am forever grateful for the Digital Summer Clinic and I would highly recommend it to anyone who may be looking for a lot of extra experience!”
